Trainings are scheduled based on needs identified in exercises or real events as well as by input from our healthcare partners. Several training modalities are leveraged to meet the needs of our participants, including on-line training, in classroom and WebEx.

Examples of trainings include:

Business Resiliency Training

This training provides healthcare partners the fundamentals of business preparedness and how to easily accomplish critical preparedness activities

Hospital Incident Command System (HICS)

The HICS training offers the basics of incident command system with a healthcare emphasis.

Evacuation Training

Evacuation training teaches the components to consider when developing and implementing a facility evacuation plan.

Decontamination Training

This online training provides the basic, background information about decontamination. It partners well with hands on, operational level training for organizations who need to maintain training for their decontamination team.

Response Plan Training

Regional response plans focus on specific capabilities or particular healthcare sectors. Several have been developed for King County and covers areas such as Regional Hospital Plan and the broader Emergency Support Function 8 – Health, Medical and Mortuary Services Plan for King County.

Regional Medical Evacuation and Mutual Aid Plan Training

The Regional Medical Evacuation and Patient Tracking Mutual Aid Plan would be activated once a facility began an internal evacuation with regional implications. Training to the components of the plan includes communications, patient tracking, documentation and roles and responsibilities.
